When ever I imagine floral print, I always think of old women with table cloth print dresses on...is it just me? (Probably) And this kind off put me off, but spring has approached and floral print is popping up everywhere, even though it's a rather annual trend, coming out at this kind of time every year it doesn't have to be boring, but how do you add a new spin to a very classic look? Here are some examples for inspiration for your spring wardrobe.

Keep it 3D floral print can sometimes look flat and go unnoticed, so pick things with embroidered floral printing to add more dimension, like this Valentino dress, most of their collections have embroidered prints on them.

Recently I've loved watching the influence from clothes on the runways, to celebrities closets and to the high streets, the transition always allows space for a bit of individual interpretation of the trend, isn't this what fashions about? Here are just two examples of spring trends that have made it from the catwalks to the sidewalks.



Culottes on the Hermes Runway for Spring 2015



Tibi runways included many textured culottes, by keeping them patterned they were preventing the awkward short look culottes can sometimes give you.


From Hermes to Adeam, runways have seen their fair share of culottes and it's safe to say to say that they are back this spring, well they have already been back, although the slightly overwhelming and unusual garments may be preventing some hopping on the band wagon. They come in so many styles at the moment that there is sure to be a style to suit you- from straight leg to baggy.

Rihanna wore a form fitting crop top and white culottes to the restaurant; Giorgio Baldi, L.A. The minimal outfit paired with black accessories is a favourite of mine.

Kendall Jenner has been seen a lot lately in culottes. Focusing on co-ordinated contrast, the top provides a distinctive figure while her culottes flow more, much like Rihanna's look above.

The trick to pulling them off is to wear them with a form fitting top to avoid looking like a baggy old lady and opting for classic colours or pattern keeps the outfit looking put together.

Bucket bags are everywhere at the moment and if you're looking for a new bag for spring why not a bucket bag? I mean, it's obvious why they are so popular this year, they are structured but flexible, equal parts fashion and function, coming in all sizes and colours which means there's one that will suit everyone. Below I've found a short list of just some of the very best out there to suit any style.

Balmain offered a multi-coloured array of irregular dimensions for Spring

DKNY chose a different set of colours; blue's, yellows and blacks leaving a much more subtle statement.

Oscar de la Renta gave an elagent interpretation on stripes, I love their stripes incorporated with the bottoms of the top and dress, still in stripes I've never seen it done before.

Emporio Armani opted for black and white statement stripes, they were all so bold but not too overpowering keeping them still feminine.

Louis Vuitton showed bicolour and multidirectional prints on the runway creating a contrast of bold and subtle stripes.
